Delta Consultative Sales Representative

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth prospecting via telephone and on-site visits from an assigned target list of potential customers, as well as through self-prospecting and cold calling
  • Continuously secure appointments to determine prospects’ needs and how we can provide solutions
  • Cross-sell to existing and prospective customers across product and service lines
  • Present our partners’ programs benefits, associated marketing activities and business development solutions and tools to interested prospects
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge about our programs, our products and industries served. · Build and maintain a base of highly satisfied customers
  • Gain a deeper penetration of product categories within the customer base
  • Monitor developing trends and new products as possible enhancement opportunities to our programs
  • Provide detailed weekly updates of activities and progress to management through a CRM platform; maintain detailed activity logs of customer interactions

Skills, Abilities, and Previous Experience:

  • Exceptional self-starter with a the ility to work independently on achieving goals
  • Leadership skills related to business development
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Advanced active listening skills
  • Must have strong computer skills; CRM, Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
  • Ability to work well within a team to develop a solution 
  • 5 - 7 years of proven experience in consultative sales environment is desired
  • Knowledge of any or all of the following; industrial and commercial electric motors, pumps, controls, power transmissions, energy efficiency and associated equipment sales and service


  • Base salary plus bonus
